                                                       Educational Leadership, Curriculum Instruction

I have been with Dekalb County since 2003 when I came in as a paraprofessional in the media center at Wynbrooke Theme School.  During which time, I continued to work on my certification for middle school Math/Science through Dekalb County Alternate Certification Program, which I completed within a year. The following year, I transitioned to Freedom Middle as a Title I Math Teacher for 6, 7, 8 grade and that is when my true calling came to light.  As an educator my goal was to ensure that all students regardless of gifted, ESOL, and level 1 students learned survival skills, leaderships, moral and ethics so that they could be productive citizens in society.

My Leadership Philosophy is committed as lifelong learners, servant leaders, and focused on academic excellence. As leader must work with staff to develop an understanding that all students will learn and must be provided an excellent school environment. Effective leaders are those who work with a sense of urgency and a clear purpose in mind that success comes from team work

Leaders aren't born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that's the price we'll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal.
